The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) unfolded with grandeur and excitement at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State, yesterday, Saturday, May 11, 2024. Meanwhile, the nominees for the 2024 edition had been revealed during a live broadcast since Sunday, March 24, 2024, across all Africa Magic Channels, adding anticipation and excitement to the prestigious event.
This year’s ceremony, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the award, stands as a testament to Multichoice’s annual tradition of honouring exceptional achievements in television, film, entertainment, and digital content creation across Nollywood and the broader African landscape.
Ik Osakioduwa helmed the event as the host, adding his signature flair to the celebration of outstanding achievements in television and film.
Notable highlights in the award ceremony included Chimezie Imo clinching the Trailblazer Award, while the prestigious Industry Merit Awards honoured Richard Mofe Damijo and Idowu Philips, fondly known as Iya Rainbow, for their remarkable contributions to the movie industry.
