Nigeria Set to Send First Citizen to Space

The Federal Government of Nigeria is preparing to send its first citizen to space, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s space exploration efforts. This announcement was made by Dr. Mathew Adepoju, Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

Dr. Adepoju revealed that the government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NASRDA and The Space Exploration and Research Agency. He emphasized that this collaboration is a crucial development in Nigeria’s 25-year journey in space exploration, opening up new avenues for scientific research and technological advancement.

“This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s space exploration journey and opens new opportunities for scientific research and technological advancement,” Dr. Adepoju stated.

The partnership aims to enhance Nigeria’s capabilities in space technology, fostering growth in various scientific fields and contributing to the country’s overall technological progress.
