A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab Shittu, disclosed this during a press briefing at the coroner’s inquest held in Lagos State on Wednesday.
According to Shittu, the pathologist in charge of the autopsy indicated to the coroner that the body had decomposed by the time the examination was conducted, rendering it impossible to ascertain the cause of death.
Shittu further explained, The pathologist stated that the cause of death cannot be determined due to the advanced decomposition of the body. Therefore, it remains unclear, and no specific reason can be determined.
Additionally, the pathologist suggested that the late singer may have reacted adversely to certain medications administered to him before his death.
Shittu urged the public to withhold strong reactions to the news, emphasizing the expertise of the pathologist who provided the report. He noted that the full report had not been obtained yet, as the coroner advised applying for access to it.
Furthermore, a date has been scheduled for the cross-examination of the pathologist regarding the autopsy findings.
