Pastor Enoch Adeboye Appoints Prof. Toyin Ogundipe as Pro-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has officially appointed Prof. Toyin Ogundipe as the Pro-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University in Ede, Osun State. This announcement was made in a statement on Monday by Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs for the university.

Prof. Ogundipe, who previously served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), takes over the role from Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, who is the Assistant General Overseer in charge of Training and Education at RCCG.

Born on May 31, 1960, Ogundipe joined UNILAG in 1990 and was promoted to the rank of professor in 2002. He held various administrative roles at the institution before being appointed Vice-Chancellor in November 2017, completing his five-year tenure in November 2022.

The newly reconstituted governing council of Redeemer’s University also includes notable members such as Prof. Shadrach Akindele, Prof. Ahmed Yerima, Prof. Olalere Adeyemi, and Prof. Christian Happi, representing the university’s Senate, among others.
