Pastor Adeboye Expresses Concern Over Arrest of RCCG Pastor oversea

Written by on December 2, 2024

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared his concerns over the arrest of one of the church’s pastors overseas.

According to Adeboye, the pastor faced legal action for addressing a gathering as “ladies and gentlemen,” which was considered discriminatory by local cultural standards for not acknowledging other gender identities.

During the RCCG’s monthly thanksgiving service at the Throne of Grace in Lagos on Sunday, Adeboye highlighted the growing cultural and moral challenges faced by Christians. He described the incident as a wake-up call and a sign of worsening global conditions, urging believers to remain steadfast in their faith.

Adeboye also recounted another alarming account of a woman who claimed her dog was her spouse, citing it as an example of moral decline. He warned against compromising faith in the face of societal shifts, stating, “God is holy. Do not let anyone weaken your stand.”

In previous addresses, Adeboye has criticized modern trends such as men with braided hair and women using false eyelashes and heavy makeup, especially among church workers, emphasizing that such appearances would no longer be tolerated on RCCG altars.

These statements align with Adeboye’s broader efforts to uphold traditional Christian values amid the changing cultural landscape.
