In the wake of the abduction of students from Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTEC) in Osara, Okene, the Kogi State government has pledged to ensure the safe rescue of the victims.

Bandits stormed the institution on Thursday night, abducting students who were reportedly preparing for their upcoming exams.

According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred around 9 p.m., catching the students off guard as they studied in their classrooms.

In response, the state government, through Commissioner for Information and Communications Kingsley Femi Fanwo, asserted that they are actively addressing the situation.

The government assured that security forces, including local hunters familiar with the area, have been mobilized to track down the abductors and secure the release of the students.
