Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Passes Away

Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has sadly passed away after a short illness. The Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Olanike Adegoke, confirmed the news on Tuesday.
In a statement from the judiciary’s Public Relations Officer, Michael Oba, Adegoke praised Justice Adeyeye as “a respected jurist committed to the principles of fairness, equity, and justice.” She further emphasized the significant impact of his contributions, noting, “The legacy of the late Chief Judge will be profoundly missed in the judiciary and throughout Ekiti State.”
Justice Adeyeye was born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi, located in the Ekiti East Local Government Area, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986. He took office as Chief Judge of Ekiti State in October 2021 and served with honor until his untimely passing.
