Israeli air strikes on Friday targeted two homes in Khan Yunis, the main city in southern Gaza, resulting in at least 20 casualties, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency.
The strikes took place at dawn, with one hitting the Al-Fara family home and causing 14 deaths, while another six people were killed in a separate attack. Agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal and medics at the Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the fatalities and released the names of the victims.
The Israeli military reported ongoing operations across Gaza, with intensified air and ground actions primarily focused on the territory’s north, where Hamas militants are said to be regrouping.
In a recent operational update, the military stated that “a number of terrorists were eliminated from the air and ground” during their activities in southern Gaza.
