Irish Liverpool Fan Dies in Highway Collision Near Bergamo Airport

A 51-year-old Irish Liverpool supporter tragically died on Monday night after being hit by a vehicle on the A4 highway near Orio al Serio Airport in Bergamo, Italy.
The fan, who had just arrived from Manchester and was heading to the NH Hotel before a Champions League match between AC Milan and Liverpool, was struck while crossing the busy highway. Authorities discovered his body near the airport, but his two traveling companions were not found.
The incident has marred what was supposed to be an exciting trip for the fan, with investigations into the accident still underway.
