Federal High Court Dismisses Charges Against 119 #EndBadGovernance Protesters

On Tuesday 5th November 2024, the Federal High Court in Abuja dismissed the charges against 119 #EndBadGovernance protesters. The protesters had been arraigned on Friday, November 1, facing serious accusations including treason felony and incitement to mutiny.

The group was divided into two batches during the initial court proceedings. The first batch included 76 protesters, of which 32 were minors, while the second batch consisted of 43 individuals.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu presided over the case and ruled to strike out the suit after receiving an application from the Attorney General of the Federation’s counsel, M.D. Abubakar, who requested to take over and discontinue the matter.
