Seventy-six #EndBadGovernance protesters have arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja for their scheduled arraignment before Justice Obiora Egwuatu.

Upon their arrival, several protesters, including minors, appeared malnourished. Four individuals were quickly rushed out of the courtroom after they were unable to stand due to apparent weakness. Witnesses reported that they looked very sickly and were seen wriggling in pain, accompanied by distressing sounds.

The protesters were detained during nationwide protests held from August 1 to 10, which were triggered by widespread economic hardship prompting many Nigerians to voice their grievances in the streets.

The 76 individuals arrested in various locations, including Abuja, Kaduna, Gombe, Jos, Katsina, and Kano, are facing serious charges, including treason among other offenses.

Among those detained are Nura Ibrahim, 24; Abdulbasi Abdusalami, 34; Ahmed Yusuf, 25; Awolu Abdulahi, 21; Umar Musa, 15; and Muhammadu Mustapha, 16, among others.
