Prominent elder statesman and businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, on Tuesday, donated N1.5 billion to support victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State. He made the donation during a visit to the Government House, where he offered condolences to Governor Babagana Zulum and the affected communities.

In response, Governor Zulum expressed profound gratitude, acknowledging the elder statesman’s compassion and generosity. “The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of magnanimity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me announce it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims,” Zulum stated.
The donation comes shortly after Dantata’s nephew, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, contributed N1 billion to the same cause.
