The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria has unveiled the results of the inaugural Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, First Series 2024. The examination was conducted from Wednesday, January 31, to Saturday, February 17, 2024.
A total of 8,139 candidates participated in the exam across 140 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. WAEC introduced a hybrid examination method for this CB-WASSCE, where questions were displayed on computers. Multiple-choice answers were submitted directly on the computer, while essay and practical test answers were recorded in booklets provided to the candidates.
Key Performance Statistics:

The coordination and marking of the examination papers were conducted at three venues: Lagos, Enugu, and Kaduna, from March 1 to 16, 2024. A team of 459 examiners was involved in this exercise.
