First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Highlights Progress of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, shared positive insights into the early achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda during the inauguration of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abuja. She emphasized the inclusive nature of the initiatives, highlighting their potential to benefit all Nigerians, especially women.
Representing the First Lady at the event, Mrs Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, the Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory, conveyed Senator Tinubu’s message of hope and progress. She noted that the economic situation of the country is already showing signs of improvement, thanks to various initiatives aimed at providing support and humanitarian services to vulnerable groups, including the elderly, women, communities, and the girl-child.
Senator Tinubu encouraged women to embrace unity and solidarity as they play pivotal roles in advancing women’s rights and contributing to national healing and development. She urged women to remain steadfast in promoting equity, equal rights, and righteousness, emphasizing their significance as agents of positive change in society.
Dr. Elizabeth Akinadewo, the National Chairperson of WOWICAN, underscored her administration’s commitment to women’s empowerment, pledging to provide support and opportunities for women to enhance their skills and achieve financial independence. She highlighted the importance of empowering women to become self-reliant and active participants in national development efforts.
Rev. Emmanuel Ozumba, the National Director for Education, Youth, and Women Development of CAN, reiterated the crucial role of women as nation builders and emphasized the importance of their leadership and contribution to national progress. He offered prayers for wisdom, vision, and inspiration for the new leadership of WOWICAN as they embark on initiatives to uplift women and families across the country.
