President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing the welfare of women, protecting their rights, and advancing their causes, as the nation commemorates International Women’s Day.
In a statement released by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu acknowledged the pivotal role of women in nation-building, emphasizing their indispensable contribution to Nigeria’s development, growth, and overall greatness.
Recognizing the exceptional achievements of Nigerian women across various disciplines and fields, President Tinubu hailed their resilience, strength, courage, and ingenuity as symbolic of hope and possibilities.
Underlining the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” President Tinubu affirmed that his administration’s policy initiatives prioritize educating and empowering women. This commitment extends beyond inclusion in governance to ensure their relevance and influential participation in the development process across all sectors of the economy.
President Tinubu outlined specific focus areas, including investments in educating the girl child and fostering inclusive programs and initiatives to bolster women’s active roles in knowledge, science, technology, research, and innovation.
