President Tinubu Appoints New Management Team for FGN Power Company

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of a new management team for the FGN Power Company Limited, aimed at driving enterprise and industrial development and reforming the power sector to ensure energy security for all Nigerians.
In a statement released by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, it was revealed that the current executive officer, Kenny Osebi Anuwe, has been reappointed by the President. Additionally, Prof Mamman Lawal has been reappointed as Company Secretary/Legal Advisor.
New appointments to the management team include Ebenezer Olawale Fapohunda as Chief Technical Officer (CTO), Babatunde Daramola Oniru as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Julius Oyekola Olabiyi as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The President expects the newly constituted management team to diligently pursue the core objectives of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI) in collaboration with Siemens Energy. This includes implementing a comprehensive overhaul, modernization, and expansion of the national grid, along with other critical measures to foster growth in the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
With these appointments, President Tinubu aims to strengthen FGN Power Company Limited’s capacity to meet the energy needs of the nation and drive economic development.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing power supply and advancing the country’s energy sector.
