NAF Airstrikes Decimate Boko Haram Hideout in Borno, Dozens Reportedly Killed

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed a major breakthrough in the fight against insurgency, announcing that airstrikes conducted by its Operation Hadin Kai unit have eliminated scores of Boko Haram terrorists and destroyed one of their key enclaves in Bita, Borno State.

According to a statement released on Friday by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the mission was carried out in the early hours of the day under the cover of darkness, targeting fleeing insurgents in what has been described as one of the operation’s most decisive actions to date.

The precision strikes were aimed at crippling the movement and logistics of the terrorist group, which has long used Bita as a strategic hideout in the North-East. Ground forces have since launched clearance operations in the area to build on the success of the aerial assault.

NAF reaffirmed its commitment to national security, stating that all necessary actions are being taken to ensure that no terrorist group finds sanctuary within Nigeria’s borders.
