Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Osun Highway Accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a lone crash on Wednesday night along the Offa Expressway in Osun State, specifically at the Oke Anu Area of Okuku. The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident in a statement issued from Osogbo on Thursday.
The accident occurred around 10:30 pm, and the deceased, reportedly from the Gari-Alimi area in Ilorin, Kwara State, was traveling on an unregistered TVS motorcycle. Adeleke stated, “On Wednesday, at about 2230HRS, there was a lone fatal accident which claimed the life of one unknown person while travelling on his motorcycle at Oke Anu Area in Okuku along the Offa Expressway.”
The NSCDC, along with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agents, attended the accident scene and arranged for the deceased’s remains to be moved to a mortuary. Authorities have contacted the victim’s family as investigations continue.
