Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as the new manager of the England national football team, with his tenure set to begin on January 1, 2025. The announcement was made by the English Football Association (FA) on Wednesday, marking a significant move as the German tactician takes charge of the Three Lions.
“The FA has announced that UEFA Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel is the new England senior men’s head coach and will be assisted by internationally renowned English coach Anthony Barry,” the FA stated.
Tuchel, known for his successful stints at clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, brings a wealth of experience to the role. His appointment aims to bolster England’s prospects on the international stage, with the FA expressing confidence in his ability to lead the team to future success.
Anthony Barry, who has worked closely with Tuchel in the past, will join the coaching staff as his assistant, adding further expertise to the setup.
