ABIDJAN, IVORY COAST – Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu has expressed confidence ahead of the Super Eagles’ crucial World Cup qualifier against Benin today, while also looking forward to reuniting with his former coach, Gernot Rohr. The match will take place at Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles, currently under pressure to secure their first win in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, were held to a 1-1 draw against South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Friday. The Franco-German tactician, Gernot Rohr, who gave Onuachu his Super Eagles debut in 2019, now coaches Benin.
