Mike Tyson Eyes Charity Bout with Anthony Joshua

Boxing legend Mike Tyson has set his sights on a surprising showdown with current heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. The former undisputed heavyweight champion, who is gearing up for a return to the ring in November against Jake Paul, expressed his interest in a charity bout with Joshua.
Tyson, 57, who hasn’t fought since his Covid exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020, revealed his enthusiasm for the potential clash with Joshua, emphasizing his desire to contribute to charity through the event. Speaking to TMZ, Tyson stated, “I’m very interested. If doing that means we can have a bigger charity exponent, well so be it, I’m down to do that, too. I would love to (fight Joshua). That would be mind-blowing.”
However, before Tyson can contemplate facing Joshua, he must first navigate his upcoming bout with Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, who will be significantly younger at 31 years old. Joshua, expressing concern for Tyson’s well-being, acknowledged the age gap but wished Tyson the best for his health.
Despite the controversy surrounding Tyson’s bout with Paul, Joshua surprisingly expressed support for the event, recognizing its ability to attract new audiences to the sport. He appreciated Paul’s ability to bring attention to boxing through his gimmick-driven fights, despite criticism from traditional boxing fans.
The potential matchup between Tyson and Joshua, even in a charity context, has generated significant buzz in the boxing world, with fans eager to see two heavyweight legends share the ring, albeit for a good cause.
