The Federal Government has repatriated 190 stranded Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was confirmed in a statement issued by Mr. Bashir Garga, the National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) Zonal Director in the North Central, on Tuesday in Abuja.
The returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday at 5:57 a.m. They were received by a combined team of government officials led by NEMA.
Upon arrival, the returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and were sensitized to conduct themselves with decorum and responsibility.
“The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country by upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” the statement read.
