Carvajal’s Daily Effort to Persuade Rodri to Join Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has revealed his ongoing attempts to convince Manchester City midfielder Rodri to join the Spanish giants.

Following Toni Kroos’ retirement at the end of last season, Real Madrid has a significant gap in their midfield. Carvajal, in an interview with El Partidazo de COPE, shared how he tries to persuade his Spain teammate to leave the English club and return to his hometown.

“Yes, without a doubt, I tell him every day: ‘Leave Manchester, there is no sun, come to Madrid because we need you, and you are from here in Madrid,’” Carvajal said.

Despite Carvajal’s persistent efforts, Rodri remains committed to Manchester City. “He says: ‘Yes, well, I have a contract, there are no clauses here.’ It gives me pause, it gives me delay, but it would be the signing, without a doubt. Being Spanish, in Madrid… I think it would fit perfectly,” Carvajal added.

Rodri has been an exceptional defensive midfielder in recent years, earning him a spot as a top contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or. Since joining Manchester City, the Spaniard has won four Premier League titles, one Champions League, and an FA Cup.
