Written by on July 28, 2024

The much-anticipated film “Beneath the Surface,” a collaboration between Shiloh Media Film Academy and the Alumni Fellowship of LADTEM Commission, has completed its production phase and is now transitioning into post-production. The film, previously titled “Uncultured,” is directed by Oluwaseun Adesola-Zion and aims to address profound spiritual and moral dilemmas.

According to Adesola-Zion, the film represents a significant message from the Lord. He emphasized the critical importance of living under spiritual guidance and discipleship, stating, “The only thing that a youth and every life needs to be successful is to live under instruction, and this instruction can only be achieved through discipleship.”

The cast and crew have also underscored the film’s themes. Jumoke Sasere, who plays Mrs. Timothy, and Atinuke Oluseye, who portrays Annabel, both highlighted the central role of discipleship in spiritual growth. Precious Okojie, who takes on the role of Patrick, and Fashanu Oluwaleke, the Director of Photography, further emphasized these themes in their contributions.

Tolu Adeoye, who portrays Mrs. Oganuga, described the film as timely and impactful. She believes “Beneath the Surface” offers valuable lessons for viewers of all ages, including church leaders, members, and pastors, helping them strengthen their spiritual resilience and effectively support their communities.

The film’s storyline delves into the life of Patrick, a man driven by ambition and a dark past. The pursuit of his goals brings seven innocent lives into his malevolent plans, blurring the lines between good and evil. As the plot unfolds, Anabel, Abiola, and Hannah, three unsuspecting young women, become entangled in a web of deceit and corruption, threatening to expose long-hidden truths.

“Beneath the Surface” is more than just a film; it serves as a timely warning from the Lord, urging viewers to reflect on their hearts and intentions and to be cautious of the dangers of compromise and unchecked ambition.

In addition to “Beneath the Surface,” Shiloh Media Film Academy is gearing up for several more film projects before the end of the year, continuing its mission to produce meaningful and impactful content.
